MD 9272 Leakage Clamp TRMS Meter with Power Functions: New Firmware

We have launched the long-awaited firmware update for the MD 9272 Leakage Clamp TRMS Meter with Power Functions. The new firmware (version 1.051) brings many improvements and changes, but at the cost of frequency range, which was lowered to 100 Hz (previously 500 Hz).

Improvements and changes:
- Improved accuracy of crest factor at measurements of about 100 V.
- Improved accuracy of peak voltage and current measurements and improved repeatability of measurements.
- Power factor in 2nd and 3rd quadrant now has a correct sign.
- Character of current (inductive, capacitive) corrected when power factor is in 2nd and 3rd quadrants.
- Measured current value dependency on the battery voltage fixed.
- THDi accuracy improved at currents above 10 A.
- Udc is no longer shown without input.
- Voltage display above 400 V corrected to never appear missing the last digit.
All MD 9272 Leakage Clamp TRMS Meter with Power Functions currently in production will have new firmware (version 1.051).
