Metrel PQA: New current clamp (A 1783)

Power quality analysers (PQAs) are accessory-heavy test and measurement equipment that require many specialized current clamps for a wide range of currents, from a few miliamperes and up to several kiloamperes. Like the A 1783 Mini AC current clamps 20/200 A, intended for measurements on the secondary side of a current transformer and as such having a slide selector switch for switching between 20 A and 200 A current ranges.

The clamps can measure currents of up to 30 A when set at 20 A and up to 260 A when set at 200 A and boast excellent accuracy and very low phase angle error. Two measuring ranges also offer the user the ability to measure currents on switchboards with a secondary current of 1 A or 5 A or direct connections with currents of up to 260 A.
The A 1783 Mini AC current clamps 20/200 A is already supported (firmware) in all our Class A and Class S PQAs and replaces the A 1069 Mini current clamp 100 A / 1 V and the A 1122 Mini current clamp 5 A / 1 V.
