Digitalization is here, and we have made and are still making steps to address inefficiencies in our production processes and services, in-house, toward you, our business partners, and our end customers. One of these steps is also gradual phasing out of physical compact discs (CDs), containing documentation (manual, software), from accessory sets that come with our products. Said documentation will now be safely and conveniently saved on an online server and accessible by entering the product’s serial number in the search field.
However, since any, even trivial, change can be painful and with the online documentation center (server) still in the testing phase, or should we say it will be very soon, this transition will be gradual and diligently monitored to mitigate any issues that might arise. We plan that the entire transition should take about 6 months (timeline below).

Timeline of phasing out of physical CDs with product documentation:
- Phase 1 (February – March 2022): Testing of Metrel documentation center.
- Phase 2 (April – June 2022): Removal of CDs from selected accessory sets (for MI 3155 EurotestXD, MI 3152 EurotestXC and MI 3152H EurotestXC 2,5 kV).
- Phase 3 (July 2022): Gradual removal of CDs from all accessory sets of all products currently in our product portfolio.

The first phase is the testing phase that encompasses only three products – MI 3152 EurotestXC, MI 3152H EurotestXC 2,5 kV and MI 3155 EurotestXD. End customers who will buy these products in this time period (February – March 2022) will get both a physical CD and a manual with a QR code and a URL address to the online documentation center.
The second phase predicts complete removal of CDs from accessory sets (physical manuals with QR codes and URL will still be supplied) of these two instruments. And finally, in the third phase, we will start the gradual removal of CDs from all other products in our portfolio.
The first, testing phase is the most critical one, and we would like to kindly ask you for your assistance in identifying any issues as they might arise. We want you to collect and forward all feedback you get from end customers regarding the removal of CDs and use of the online documentation center.
Keep in mind that the Metrel Documentation Center works only for serial numbers, i.e. instruments delivered from 22. 02. 2022 onwards.
