We are in the process of replacing the A 1198 Magnetic contact probe with the new A 1778 Magnetic contact probe. The latter is more rugged with a more powerful magnet for a better, more reliable contact with a metal surface, and has a compact (Ø6,6 mm) right-angle magnetic adapter and a Ø4 mm socket for optimum safety.
