Metrel PQA transport cases: an overview

We’ve been recently getting a lot of questions (primarily from distributors) regarding the fast-growing array of carrying and transport hard cases that are a part of our product portfolio. Not just about pricing and availability, but also about their functionality. Particularly in connection with those for power quality analysers (PQAs) and selected complementary accessories, which are not coincidentally a topic of this newsletter.

A 1565 Professional waterproof case for outdoor installations and transport with IP 65 rating
|
|
Designed for housing the PQA during long-term recording in adverse atmospheric conditions and as such equipped with integrated test leads that help ensure an acceptable, IP 65 protection level. The user can connect to those test leads virtually any Metrel current clamps, including:
- A 1501 1-phase mini flexible current clamp (Rogowski coil) 3000/300/30 A / 1V
- A 1502 1-phase mini flexible current clamp 3000/300/30 A / 1V
- A 1503 1-phase mini flexible current clamp 6000/600/60 A / 1V
- A 1227 1-phase flexible current clamp 3000/300/30 A / 1 V
- A 1446 1-phase flexible current clamp 6000/600/60 A / 1 V
- A 1582 1-phase high temperature flexible current clamp 3000/300/30 A / 1 V
Additionally, the case is lined with soft foam with cut spaces for a Metrel PQA and accessories like:
- A 1355 GPS receiver
- A 1622 3G / Wi-Fi Router
- A 1479 Wide range power supply
They enhance the PQAs recording/logging functionality, especially the A 1622 3G / Wi-Fi Router that enables remote control of the analyser and data download over the mobile/Wi-Fi network. Last but no least, the case has integrated suspension rings on the back for easier installation on pylons and similar structures.

A 1685 Professional waterproof transport case with IP 67 rating
|
|
Storage transport case offering IP 67 level protection coupled with automatic pressure equalization valve for easy opening in any condition and a foam interior for absorbing impacts and vibrations that could damage the PQA.

A 1577 Professional waterproof transport case with IP 67 rating
|
|
The A 1685 Professional waterproof transport case with IP 67 rating’s (considerably) bigger brother with wheels and a telescopic handle. Like other two cases it has a soft interior made of pliant foam, it is IP 67 rated and is equipped with an automatic pressure equalization valve. The main difference is larger storage volume.
