Metrel – phishing attempts

We are informing you that we have detected several phishing attempts by unknown parties who present themselves as Metrel or Metrel employees. These individuals have asked some of our partners to wire money to different accounts through either e-mail or telephone for actual products we sold to them or services we rendered. Fortunately, they were suspicious and contacted us to clarify why we would change accounts or contact them in a manner different than usual.

In light of these revelations, we would again like to clarify that we won’t change communication channels without prior coordination with you, our partner. In other words, your designated area sales manager or any other Metrel employee you are in contact with won’t suddenly start to call you over telephone/Skype or make unusual changes to orders or payment without any previous communication with you about this changes.

We would like to kindly ask you to inform us of any more similar phishing attempts or any other suspicious activity that seems to be connected with Metrel in any manner, shape or form.
