PQA: Fleet parameterization/configuration

Manual setup of a power quality analyser prior to starting analysis of a selected electrical installation is a time consuming endeavour, particularly if more than one analyser has to be configured. Fortunately, there is an option to easily share the setup amongst the analysers of the same model and with the same firmware.

There is an option in the PowerView3.0 PC software called “Configure Instrument” that enables local / remote analyser configuration: existing setup can be easily read from the analyser and distributed to other ones. This can be done either locally via the USB port or remotely (Ethernet, GPRS or Wi-Fi). It is possible to:
- Change the configuration settings (basic connection setup parameters).
- Manage recorder settings (general, waveform and transient) with remote start / stop.
- Change the setup of events, signalling, RVC, inrush, transients and measuring methods.

Fleet parameterization/configuration is supported for all Metrel power quality analysers, but with one (aforementioned) limitation: saved parameter setup can only be used on the same model of instrument (e.g. MI 2893 Power Master XT) and with same firmware.
