The number of 1500 V photovoltaic installations is growing rapidly, increasing the demand for electrical safety testing. To address this need, we developed another multifunctional electrical safety tester designed for testing 1500 V photovoltaic systems.
The MI 3114 PV Tester, a robust and versatile tool designed for testing photovoltaic (PV) systems with a maximum system voltage of 1500 V and a short circuit current of up to 40 A. It complies with the IEC 62446-1 standard and supports all measurement procedures required for category 1 tests. Key PV-specific measurements include insulation resistance of PV strings, Isc and Uoc measurements, as well as the calculation of results to STC values for comparison with the nominal values provided by the PV module manufacturer.
